The European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) has relaunched its popular website www.emva.org. The EMVA aims at providing a wide range of information with a relevance to machine vision application, technology and industry. Users can now find even more resources and the navigation has been improved to ensure intuitive and simple access to the required information. New functionalities and search options further increase its useability. The new emva.org also draws on the expertise of its members by giving them the option of uploading a range of different machine vision related types of documents and resources, such as press releases, case studies and product descriptions. This ensures frequently changing - and growing - content. The site was also designed to provide suitable information for different types of users with their specific information needs. Site tours for a number of pre-defined target groups offer an easy way to get acquainted to the website and identify the pages with the highest value for the specific information requirements.
Here are some concrete examples of what is new in the improved emva.org:
• Ask the expert: an open Q&A forum
• Machine vision glossary
• Introductory information to machine vision
• More information on machine vision standards
• Section with members' press releases
• Advanced search function and tagging options
• Feedback option for users on usefulness of information
• Newsletter archive
• Market data section
• Machine vision knowledge documents
The EMVA will continue to expand and further develop the website as a premier source of machine vision related information worldwide.
