Standardization
EMVA develops industry-driven standards for the machine vision sector and co-ordinates standardization work on a global level with partner associations. Currently, the EMVA hosts two standardization working groups:
EMVA 1288 Standard: It defines a unified method or measuring, computing and presenting specification parameters for camera and image sensors. Click here for more information.
GenICam Standard: It aims at providing a generic programming interface for all types of cameras. Click here for more information.
In addition, the EMVA co-operates with the Japanese Industrial Imaging Association (JIIA) in the development of a new lens mount standard for high-resolution machine vision applications.
The EMVA is open for further standardization initiatives with a view to fostering the use of machine vision technologies in all industries and application areas.
